Rory Dechowitz is Treasurer at The Tower Companies where he manages the company’s investments. He joined Tower in 1989 and has maintained a love of numbers and a passion for business for the duration of his 35-year career, rising to the top management position and reporting directly to the owners in each position along the way.

Rory is a lifelong learner, completing 40 hours of continuing education classes in accounting yearly. This allows him to build on his foundational education: an Accounting Certificate from the University of Baltimore and a BS in Business Administration from Rutgers University. The Printing Industry of Maryland named him Executive of the Year in 1980, which included a scholarship to the Executive Development training program. He is one of the elite 15% of all Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) who passed the CPA exam on their first attempt.

Rory belongs to the Institute for Management Accounts and the National Association of Accountants. He volunteers at Beth El Temple in his hometown of Baltimore. He and his wife Robin have three children: Brett, Kelly, and Jared and two grandchildren: Jemma and Dylan. In his spare time, he loves to be involved in sports.
